September 20th, 21st, October 4th, 5th 8:30-4:30 (Zoom)

Course Description: EDUC-580-

This experiential course equips educators with practical, research-based strategies to respond to difficult behaviors in the classroom. This course empowers teachers, school counselors, and support staff to create positive, inclusive learning environments where every student can thrive. Challenging behavior is often a signal rather than a problem to be solved and can certainly get in the way of academic success. When teachers set high expectations, students tend to rise to the challenge. Higher expectations encourage students to develop crucial skills like critical thinking, problem-solving, and perseverance, which are essential for success in higher education and the workforce.
